Christmas Cat/Dog??????

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!

Towanda wanted me to give an extra thanks to Rowan (Kathy D's dog) for realizing that she really is a dog in a cat's body. You see Towanda acts just like a dog..... she comes when you call her, she will sit up for treats, she hangs out with you just like a dog does.... she fetches.....etc...

So Rowan decided to give her a stick for Christmas.... well it is confirmed now.... she really is a dog in a cats body! This is her favorite new toy!!!! You ask her "where's your stick" and she goes and gets it or lays next to it!

She thanks you so much Rowan for freeing her!!!!!

And this morning , after playing all day with her new stick,  she is still snoring in bed!

Merry Christmas everyone...... I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

SNOW DAY!!!!!

It snowed pretty much all night last night. I was like a little kid when I woke up this morning. I was running all around the house looking for my snow gear and head out the door asap! I found everything but my boots.....

Whit and I jumped in the 4 Runner and headed to North Beach first..... Whit got a great photo of a crow on a log at the beach.

Then we started our journey over to the Moore's house to go sledding. On our way a coyote crossed the road in front of us... Whit was lucky enough to get this photo of him/her.

This is a photo of the Moore's driveway! No shortage of snow here!

We stopped at the mailboxes to check their mail and someone had made this great
Snow Mouse!!!

Here I am just like a little kid all proud with my brand new sled....

Some of the sledding gang...

Here is a photo of Whit, Jim and Anna in the large sled with Groves and his friend hanging on to the end!

Me, Jim and Anna getting started on a run!

Liz, myself and Anna on another run....

Jim, Liz and Anna starting a run!

I am hoping to go back again tomorrow! It is snowing as I am writing this..... Hopefully we will get another 4 - 6 inches.... That would make me very happy!

Meet Brodie!!!!

I would like you to meet Brodie!

This is my Dad and Sally's new puppy.... He is a West Highland Terrier.
He is 9 weeks old in these photos. They have had him for 2 weeks now. Brodie is doing great adjusting to his new home....... Now Dad and Sally that is a different story! No not really, they are loving their new boy. He is a full time job though! He plays and plays and then just stops suddenly and crashes. You can see from the photos how spoiled he is..... just look at all of those toys!

After playing he just crashes....

I will take some more photos on Christmas!!!!

Enjoy Brodie!

Interesting............ Test

Whit bought a new small Samsung NC10 computer to take on trips and he also needed a non apple computer to work some of his stock stuff.
I am such an Apple person! Sooooooooooo it has taken me a while to try and get the hang of this one! It would be nice to be able to take it on trips instead of my expensive big Macbook. This computer is smaller than a sheet of paper and only weighs 2 pounds! Look at the photo comparison. I so wish that Apple will soon make a smaller, cheaper laptop!!!! This has been a real challenge to get this far! Now lets see if this loads........

I am going out of town next week and will try taking this computer along and see how I do with it! Anyone have one of these computers or one similar that you would like to share experiences with?

Fort Worden

This morning when I woke up the sun was shining bright! I decided to go to the park with The Moore's... well by the time we got going and got there the fog was rolling in fast! We still had a great time......

As you can see almost all of the leaves have fallen from the trees... there was this one little patch of yellow still hanging on.

Some of the bunkers on the way to the top.. lots of moss growing on them.

Here is a fun photo of Groves.

The beach on the way home. We started our walk at a beach called North Beach and then hiked up and over the hill to the light house and then back to North Beach by way of the beach.

A view of the light house from up top.

All in all it was a great day at the park!

Wildlife Habitat

Earlier in the year Whit topped off some of our trees that were getting very overgrown! Instead of throwing them over the bluff (which builds up the bluff) or taking them to the dump to be turned into compost he decided to make a wildlife habitat for our little critters. When he had cut them down he noticed a lot of birds flying in and out of the brush...... I think that is what gave him the idea......

So he bought a waterproof tarp and some camouflage paint and asked me to paint the tarp....

I had fun painting it!!!!!

Whit then put down several large stumps on the ground and then a layer of the tree limbs and then the tarp and then more tree limbs. Since then we have seen many birds, squirrels and raccoons coming and going from there..... It makes us happy knowing that they have a nice dry place to lay their heads at night!!!

I will try to get some photos with some of the critters there!

Snow?????

Every time my friend Nicole from Canada comes to visit she seems to bring snow with her! Well this trip was no different. After teaching for 3 days we decided to go for a hike on Hurricane Ridge......... and it snowed on us! It was about 30 degrees and a light dusting of snow continued falling during our 2 1/2 hour long hike.

Nicole watching the snow coming down.

We stopped at the Moore's on our way and Jim decided to go with us.

If you look way off in the distance you can see Canada across the water. This is where Nicole is from, Victoria Canada.

The trees up on the ridge were half snow half green.....

On our way back the weather really changed, the low clouds came in and you couldn't see off in the distance much anymore.

These "ice flowers" were beautiful! They covered the hill side at one point!

Well tomorrow will be a studio day..... more beads and bracelets to come!
