I am still in shock! I go to the casino with my girlfriends and spend $20 and usually break even on the penny slots after playing for several hours. I hit this jackpot within an hour and promptly came home!!!!!
The way we were screaming I think people thought I won a million!

Great Class!

We had Robyn Cornelius come to our studio to teach an incredible silversmithing workshop. It was a private class with just 3 of us so it was a lot of one on one with Robyn. She is a fabulous artist and instructor. If you ever have an opportunity to take a class with her don't pass it up! Robyn is teaching some classes at Bead and Button this year ..... check out her classes!

Here are a few photos from the class....

These are the bracelets that we made ... including tube settings!

Some of the piercings we did ......

Rings with different kinds of settings. My favorite setting was the gypsy setting (the ruby).

And these are some of the bracelets I made .... Whit had bought me a pen plater for Christmas so I plated some of the cups and bracelets in 24 karat gold!

A great time was had by all!

Sad......

My heart goes out to the people of Japan. I have visited Japan 3 times. They are some of the kindest most generous folks I have ever met.

On one of my trips there I stayed with my good friend Minako in her home which had been her grandfathers .... it is on the east coast in a little fishing village. I hadn't been able to get in contact with her till yesterday. She and her family are safe in Osaka and Kochi. She is unsure about the house in the village.....

I still find it so hard to believe that this devastation has occurred. Mother Nature can be so cruel at times. I wish that there was something I could do to help the people of Japan. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.....

Beautiful Day!

What a beautiful day today was! It would have been a great day for kayaking..... just look at that flat water. That will just have to wait for another day.

I had a very productive day in my studio. Made lots of glass beads and silver components for jewelry. I am really looking forward to my upcoming silversmithing class in my studio!! Can't wait to learn some new techniques!

Also was invited to go teach in Russia! Who wants to go???!!!???? What an adventure that will be..... will keep you updated when I know more!

Have a great day!

Class in Maui!

I am looking forward to returning to Maui in April. I will be teaching classes in bead making, pmc and making bead caps out of copper and silver sheet! If you have been to Maui you may have visited Aloha Bead Company in Paia, owned by Sarah Klopping. Her bead store is awesome! Sarah also has an incredible lampworking studio where she offers bead making classes.

And of course when the classes are over I will stay a few extra days for whale watching and snorkeling...... come join us in this great adventure!
