Fort Worden

This morning when I woke up the sun was shining bright! I decided to go to the park with The Moore's... well by the time we got going and got there the fog was rolling in fast! We still had a great time......

As you can see almost all of the leaves have fallen from the trees... there was this one little patch of yellow still hanging on.

Some of the bunkers on the way to the top.. lots of moss growing on them.

Here is a fun photo of Groves.

The beach on the way home. We started our walk at a beach called North Beach and then hiked up and over the hill to the light house and then back to North Beach by way of the beach.

A view of the light house from up top.

All in all it was a great day at the park!

Wildlife Habitat

Earlier in the year Whit topped off some of our trees that were getting very overgrown! Instead of throwing them over the bluff (which builds up the bluff) or taking them to the dump to be turned into compost he decided to make a wildlife habitat for our little critters. When he had cut them down he noticed a lot of birds flying in and out of the brush...... I think that is what gave him the idea......

So he bought a waterproof tarp and some camouflage paint and asked me to paint the tarp....

I had fun painting it!!!!!

Whit then put down several large stumps on the ground and then a layer of the tree limbs and then the tarp and then more tree limbs. Since then we have seen many birds, squirrels and raccoons coming and going from there..... It makes us happy knowing that they have a nice dry place to lay their heads at night!!!

I will try to get some photos with some of the critters there!

Snow?????

Every time my friend Nicole from Canada comes to visit she seems to bring snow with her! Well this trip was no different. After teaching for 3 days we decided to go for a hike on Hurricane Ridge......... and it snowed on us! It was about 30 degrees and a light dusting of snow continued falling during our 2 1/2 hour long hike.

Nicole watching the snow coming down.

We stopped at the Moore's on our way and Jim decided to go with us.

If you look way off in the distance you can see Canada across the water. This is where Nicole is from, Victoria Canada.

The trees up on the ridge were half snow half green.....

On our way back the weather really changed, the low clouds came in and you couldn't see off in the distance much anymore.

These "ice flowers" were beautiful! They covered the hill side at one point!

Well tomorrow will be a studio day..... more beads and bracelets to come!

New Bracelets!

These are 2 bracelets that I have finished over the weekend. I made them using viking knit! Portia showed me how to do viking knit while I was teaching in Chicago and have been hooked on it since!

Both of these bracelets are available in MY ETSY!
I have also added some more fire red and fire orange kryptonites as well.

Let me know what you think of them. I am working on some others that have my kryptonite beads in them....... I am just waiting to finish some pmc beads to go with them!
