Happiness is a new pair of Keen shoes!!!

It is pretty much tradition for me to get a new pair of shoes before heading off to a show... I love these!!!!

I fly out Thursday and have a little bit of work to do on Friday morning then off to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to walking around downtown Milwaukee and checking out the gallery scene, in my new shoes of course! Class with Tim McCreight starts on Sunday and goes thru Tuesday... then a big dinner banquet at the Milwaukee Market (an awesome place to go to by the way) on Tuesday night. 

Then I have Wednesday off till the evening before I set up to sell at meet the teachers .... this is an amazing event! The whole show is an amazing event actually, but Meet the Teachers is probably my favorite part. So much energy buzzing in the place. Then on Thursday the vendors will be setting up for the preview night. I will be helping a few friends set up. I am really looking forward to participating as a spectator for once!

And the summer continues... high maybe around 70 today! LOL that is warm for us! 

I worked most of the day in the studio but took a zip out on my vespa to enjoy the evening.... a quick trip to Fort Worden ..... another beautiful evening.

Here you can see some of my wave bracelets along with some of my micro-wave bracelets! This photo is after patina and before buffing... my buffing pile is getting huge! I think I may need to enlist Whit and Carly before I leave on Thursday for Milwaukee!

I'll do my best to get some photos up of them after they are buffed....

Yup, another beautiful day! Had to take a break from the studio and soak up some rays!

Another one of those perfect days here in PT. I had a great day in my studio but it was so pretty out I needed to get out and soak up some rays.... 

And what a beautiful sunset we had tonight....

Another beautiful day in PT! Spent the morning hiking North Beach and Fort Worden.... it couldn't have been more perfect.




Spotted this pair of eagles fairly close to the light house




Met Dora...... I really wanted to steal her! She is such a sweetie.... Sure hope I get to run into her more! I do think that Towanda would disown me if I was to bring her home.

I am having so much fun going micro! I ordered some 24kt gold and am looking forward to adding it to this new micro series.....  am also thinking of making some of these in gold.... what do you think????

Leave a comment for a free micro wave stacker ring!!!!

I'm very excited about my new micro stacking wave rings! I tried something similar to these last year and made them into earrings for Bead and Button. They were much larger than these and had pins through them. I don't think it would be possible to put pins in something this small!  (but who know..... I am always up for a challenge). 

So today I challenged myself to work very, very, very small with some new tools that I had recently acquired. This is the result of my playing around. They are about 1 - 2 mm wide!!!! ( teeny tiny)  You can easily stack 6 or more on a finger and they look awesome! 

Can you tell I am excited about these!!!!!

I am going to try adding some 24 kt gold wire inside them and see how they turn out........

side note: in this photo I am wearing 8 and they are on my pinky.... that may give you more of an idea as to how small they are!!!!

A beautiful way to end an awesome weekend! Sunset over Puget Sound.

 The Whole Bead Show in Lynnwood was one of the best shows ever. I have already signed up for next year as have most of the vendors! Looks like it will probably be even bigger next year with classes. A big thank you to Ava Motherwell for putting on another first class show!
