Finished projects from class

These are some of my projects that I made in the class with Steff Korsage! Steff came to my studio and taught a class for myself and 3 of my friends. I can't believe how much we learned in this class! If you ever get a chance to take a class with her be sure not to pass it up!

Here is a bracelet that I made...... We soldered and formed the bracelet, and then of course I couldn't just leave it as a bangle... so this is where I took it!

These are my little flower cups that I have attached to the bracelet...

And these are just some balls going through the bracelet...

This was another project in the class. How to etch copper and silver and make a box out of it.

This little guy was etched onto a piece of copper from some artwork that I had bought from an artist on Ebay. Her name is Lisa Luree, she goes by bone diva there...

This side is etched into silver......

Once the etchings are done we created a box out of them. Then we created the bail and soldered it on top of the box. By creating the box we learned so many techniques...... my head is swimming with ideas!

Today I am making another bracelet just to see how long it will take! So far I have soldered and hammered out the bracelet in under an hour! Not sure if that is just beginners luck though! I will attach the flower cups and silver balls tomorrow morning and see how long it takes! Will post a photo of it when I am done!

Silver class with Steff

These are pieces I made in Steff Korsage's class. They have been etched on silver and copper, tomorrow we will make boxes out of them.

Steff is an amazing teacher. Etching the metals has opened up so many possibilities....

SEPTEMBER MASTERS CLASS DATES SET

I have had several inquiries about when my next masters class will be. I just finished up a class this weekend and it was awesome! I love teaching this class here in my home studio where the classes are restricted to a maximum of 6 students. I can give so much more one on one instruction this way.

I look forward to meeting some new students!

Dates are set for another Masters Class in September! The new dates are
September 25 - 27

Fresco's in Turkey

Before I head off to my class this weekend I wanted to share with you some of the fresco's we saw while in Cappadocia. Some of those rock formations that you saw in the earlier photos had these inside of them! They date back to about the year 500! They are amazing to see..... you just walk amongst these formations and sometimes when you walk in one this is what you are greeted with !

I hope you enjoy seeing them......
while looking at them keep in mind how long ago they were painted...

More photos to come very soon!

Turkey!

Well I think that I am finally caught up on my jet lag.
I will be posting photos from my trip to Germany and Turkey within the next few days and try to catch you up on what I have been up to.

Turkey is an amazing place! The people there are some of the kindest, warmest, nicest, most welcoming people I think I have ever met. It is truly magical there. I will definitely be going back!

My friend Nicole and I had a wonderful trip. We arrived in Istanbul (photos to come soon) and then moved onto Cappadocia. This is truly a magical place! The following photos are from a hot air balloon trip that Nicole and I took.

I love this photo..... to me it kind of sums up my feelings that I feel for this country......

The formations here are just incredible. Some people still live in them.....

We went up to an elevation of 5,000 feet! It was so peaceful..... no wind and very quiet except when the pilot had to fire up the propane! There were at least 30 balloons that morning, just a beautiful site to see.

I hope you enjoy these photos .... I will post more of my trip in the days to come!
Have a great day!!
