Photo of the Day - Ammonite

While in Seattle this last weekend we went to Vetri Glass Gallery . I had seen this piece when my friend Ilana was here visiting..... it was still there. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and felt the same way again. Maybe when I go back for a girls Christmas weekend in Seattle, and if it is still there, it may be just meant to be taken home with me!

WOW! That is incredible! I can't believe it's glass! It looks like it was washed ashore from the sea.

That is so cool. I just gave my son my largest ammonite to take to 2nd grade -- they're studying fossils. He wanted to know if I had a trilobite but unfortunately I didn't.

Totally looks real. About how large is the piece? I cannot tell the size from the surroundings. Heather :)
