For Kathy - Alala
My best friend Kathy Dorfer paints some wonderful painting of crows (ravens).... called "Alala" in Hawaiian. She told me about a really cool app for the iphone and ipad called brushes. So while waiting at the doctors today I doodled this on my ipad in honor of her! Check out her cool paintings in her etsy. My studio walls are covered with her art work. Also if you have an ipad you are going to love Brushes!

Home again
Home again! WOW... I am actually done teaching for the year!!!! What an awesome end to my teaching year to have ended it in Alaska.... such a beautiful place with wonderful people and awesome scenery.

Flying out from Anchorage looking back at Cook Inlet.

A beautiful sunset from the ferry on my way home.

This is near Eagleriver... In the foreground you can see some salmon heading up river

This is looking the other way.... We wanted to go for a hike but there were too many bears feeding on salmon along the river so the trail was closed.

And what we didn't want to run into!!!!!

Sisters
Sisters are so special..... I love my sisters......
I am currently in Alaska teaching at Glass Firenze owned by Deborah Spence. While here I learned that her sister Dorene has stage four metastatic cancer. You can feel the love flowing from Deborah that she has for her sister.
This is a bead made by Elise Strauss called "Sisters". Elise gave it to Deborah on her birthday...... Such a special bead with so much meaning ... I just wanted to share it with everyone.

Deborah and Dorene
Always tell your loved ones how much you love them.....
