Second Class

This is the second class! One of the students had to leave early..... we missed you Karen!
Shannon, Jenny and Bette stayed and made 3 wonderful sea gardens! I will take some photos of them tomorrow!

This is Barbara behind her mask. She is awesome and a joy to have in class.... oh and by the way she has more glass tools than anyone I know!!!!!

This was waiting for me the second day of class. Sharon, the owner of the studio, made the vase and brought the flower from home for me! It made it feel a little bit like Hawaii.... except for all the snow outside! We are supposed to get some more tonight and tomorrow, which is fine with me, I love it!

I am looking forward to the next class, like I said earlier, this is a great group.

Fun in the snow in Indiana!

I am loving all of the snow that we got here in Indiana the last few days! The students probably think I am crazy!!!!! It snowed all day yesterday, it was beautiful........ to me anyways!

Angie, one of the students, took this photo when she got home....... where she lived they had mostly ice. It is really pretty though...... thanks Angie for the photos!

Here is the nice studio set-up at Inspired Fire. These are the students from the first class! What a great group of people here........ they have a wonderful organization...... I believe they have about 75 members and sounds like they get together quite often.......

Well today was nice and sunny....... but....... snow is in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, and of course that makes me very happy!!!!!!

Teaching in Indiana

I just arrived in Indiana tonight! I will be teaching 3 2-day classes for ISLAGA at Inspired Fire Studios.

Barbara and her husband were nice enough to pick me up in Indianapolis and drive me up to Lafayette. Thank you Barbara!

We stopped by the studio on the way to the hotel and it is an awesome studio! I am really looking forward to teaching there. I will do my best with taking photos...... I still haven't posted the ones from last weekends class..... I have been trying to recover from the dreaded Tucson crud!

OK that's all for now......... I miss you sweetie!!!!!!!

Clean Studio!

It is so nice to have a clean studio! I am teaching a Masters Class this weekend and my studio was a mess from getting ready for the Tucson show!
This is the bead making half of the studio. Each bead making station has its own ventilation system. This is a system that Whit designed. It works great, especially when fuming with silver or gold!

This half of the studio is where I do all of my silver work. I have 3 of Jim Moore Bead Riveting machines set up, a great buffer with ventilation, a foredom and lots more silversmithing tools!

I will try to remember to take some photos during the class and of the students beads...... if they don't mind!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
My great friend Kathy D painted me this beautiful painting to add to my "Alala" collection! This one has Alala standing on a heart. Thank you Kathy!!!!
Alala means Raven or Crow in Hawaiian. There are few if any left in Hawaii.

Whit bought me some great jewelers files that I had been wanting!
Thanks Sweetie!
