I'm writing to let you know that I will be offering my latest tutorial, which will be on making my Window Beads. I've attached a few photos to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. The first two photos of the red core bead is the actual bead that I made in the tutorial. A year ago, when I came out with the tutorial on the Baleen bead, many of you were very generous in contributing to a fund raiser for the Center Valley Animal Shelter. This year, I'd like to offer you another opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a chance to be the first to win a copy of the Windows tutorial.
The first name that I draw will receive a copy of the tutorial. In addition, they will be given a Window Bead. The next two names will receive copies of the tutorial.
Here's how it works. For every $5.00 that is donated to CVAR, I will write your name on a ticket. Send your donation to:
Let me know how much you donated and I will write up the appropriate number of tickets. On February 7, I will draw the winning tickets. I will be offering the tutorial for sale after that through my website. You will be able to order it directly order it with immediate delivery.
I am enjoying making beads again! My hand is working great! I am also enjoying the peaceful feeling I have about not doing the Tucson show! While I will miss seeing many friends I won't miss standing behind a table for 6 straight days and being all stressed out getting ready for it. I am looking forward to doing some of the smaller Whole Bead Shows where it doesn't require the crazy inventory needed for the Tucson show.
I do wish all of my friends selling at the show wonderful sales and lots of sun!!!!!
My flight was delayed due to strong headwinds which caused us to stop in Portland to get enough fuel to make the journey over the pacific.... So I didn't get to the hotel till way past midnight, hence no blog post yesterday.
Snowing a lot tonight here in Port Townsend! Usually I am very excited.... well I am... but I need to get to Seattle tomorrow for a 5:00pm flight to Hawaii! I really don't want to miss that!!! I am really looking forward to a relaxing time .... not even bringing one bead with me! This is an all fun trip with lots of visiting with wonderful friends and my sister. I have to say I am really, really glad that I am not going to Tucson this year and having to deal with the stress that getting ready for a show creates!
I tried to upload a photo tonight but couldn't for some reason.... so for now....
I was searching for some photos on my hard drive today and came across the photo of my dog Bruno. He was an awesome dog! Here he is modeling some of my sisters jewelry about 10 years ago. Look at those ears.... all wet and slobbery! That was Bruno! He was such a great companion.
Just wanted to share the smile.... have a great day!
Great day in the studio today. 2 friends came over and we all played on different kinds of bracelets. Several of my bracelets I set some garnet and iolite. Looking forward to another wonderful day in the studio tomorrow... As I am typing this it is snow/hailing outside..... I hope to wake up to a beautiful blanket of snow!
I just wanted to let my friends know that I am running low on the Zimmerman Purple Rose Powder. I have it for sale in my etsy store. Once this is gone that is it.... I have approximately 30 more 5 oz. packages left.
Busy day in the studio today..... feels so good to be back at work again.
Felt great to be back at work in my studio today! Was even able to get a special order silver bracelet made today. It will be on it's way to Switzerland tomorrow! Very happy to be getting some orders out of the way!
My hand held up great today. I even made about 20 pairs of beads to turn into earrings tomorrow! A good day for sure!
